The Line chats in Tsuki ga Kirei’s ED are one of the nicest parts of the show, but no one translates them. Each episode’s chat tells a short love story between random people. Read them while listening to the ED song, Tsuki ga Kirei.
Tsuki ga Kirei is airing in the 2017 Spring season.
12:15 | Me: Hey
12:15 | Boyfriend: Yeah
12:15 | Me: If I got a job
12:15 | Me: And they sent me to another city
12:15 | Me: How would you feel?
12:15 | Boyfriend: Huh?
12:16 | Me: No, just kidding
12:16 | Boyfriend: Fine
12:16 | Me: *Shocked sticker*
12:16 | Me: Huh?
12:16 | Boyfriend: Made a mistake
12:16 | Me: Nononono
12:16 | Boyfriend: Nononono
12:16 | Boyfriend: I was just trying to ask
12:16 | Boyfriend: Fine, but is it going to be really far?
12:16 | Me: Nah
12:16 | Boyfriend: No?
12:16 | Me: No what?
12:16 | Boyfriend: Job offer
12:16 | Me: Of course not
12:16 | Boyfriend: Of course
The couple from episode 1 again. The girlfriend, who’s in university, seems to have gotten (or be about to get) a job offer far away from her boyfriend, and is testing the waters for his reaction. When he comes out with his けっこ (“fine”) she thinks it means he doesn’t care about her and backpedals frantically (いやいやいやいや, “nononono”). Seeing her panic, he backpedals himself. So she says she hasn’t got this job offer by the end of the chat, but we wonder. And the boyfriend seems to wonder too.
Again a story of distance, and ominously in an episode when Kotarou and Akane begin having to face the external pressures of Hira and Chinatsu.
